Am I allowed to buy iPhone now or wait for the new version?

Apple has published news of the iPhone software update, but there will be others, an iPhone version released this year outside of the software update? 2G 2007, 3G 2008, 2009 is 3G (if I mistake not). 2010 OS4?

HD 2010 is the iPhone. If I were you wait and see if new features are worth, then decide to buy the 3G, or HD. Also, once the HD is launched, it is likely lower prices to 3G and 3G, if you choose to buy either would be much less expensive, which is another reason to wait.
