Can you make the iPod Touch / iPhone Apps on a Windows PC?

Last week I signed up for the iPhone SDK. Later I read that can make applications for Apple Mac computers. Is this true or is there another way to make real-world applications that I can put on the App Store on my Windows PC? I was very angry when I read this and even contacted Apple, ranging from weeks of investigation, and never responded. I really want to make applications and it seems rather odd that only Mac users can.

As at this time, Apple only makes the iPhone SDK for Mac OS X. Attaches / XCode then Apple uses port of your complete development environment for Windows to get the SDK to work. The best thing to do is use VMware to install a modified version of Mac OS X in a virtual machine and run SDK in this way.
