On an iPhone, if the news out I upgraded to this?

I look at the Optus iPhone plan, which is really tempting, but after iPhone Model Releases (I'm a nerd from Apple), the iPhone is scheduled fourth round in June 2010. I am impatient to wait for 6-7 months to get a better phone and probably a lower price (which seem smaller every year), but I'm also really tried to get yours now! I heard from a friend that if your in a plane, and a new spell, you can upgrade. But I do not rely on this information as far as I know was taken. Also, since the iPhone's 09 ', with updates minor, I hope she Improvement mass and the iPhone in 2010. So I really want to get a 2010 one, so if I had to buy an iPhone now, I can upgrade? I'm in the U.S. if this is a guess but I think not like an automatic update for the new iPhone if you bought one now. We have an automatic update 3GS, and I hope that the model 2010 to be a much more improved. Here are tons of people were willing to pay for privilege to pay close to the public for 3G.
