Is there a monthly bill if you use the Wi-Fi in iPod Touch?

I really like iPods, and put on my iPod Touch, and I'm dying to download many applications as you can about it. But the question is, is the Wi-Fi on iPod Touch for free? Should I buy Apple or what? I have to pay if I use the Internet on this issue? Please answer ALL questions listed above. Thanks =)
