Mini iPod Battery Problems?

I have an iPod mini to three years. My first problem is that my ipod only plays for about 3 minutes when not connected to my charger. 2. When the iPod battery runs out, instead of simply turning off, it shows the Apple logo, and then disappears, then the Apple logo appears again. This cycle continues unless the plug in the charger. I swear my iPod is so dependent on my charger. 3. When I try to connect my iPod the computer to update, nothing happens. I see the battery symbol and it still is. This happens every time I try to sync my iPod. 4. When my iPod has been cooperating some time ago, when I removed the charger, the battery indicator in the corner acting as if he was still in charge. Note: When I try to restart my ipod by pressing the Menu and the middle button, the screen would then show the battery symbol. It does not show the usual Apple logo.

Um … really should consider getting a new iPod, which Apple will not do anything about it. One thing you can do is try to get the battery. (But I doubt continue batteries the Mini, and will cost money and must pay for shipping too.)
