Best Buy and Apple iPod Touch Warranty?

Well, today I was out and it was raining heavily at the time. When I arrived in Inside, I realized that my touch will not turn on (and on again, but hang at the Apple logo has a lot of white lines across the screen.) Anyway I did some research and found that the apple is an indicator of the white band in their devices to indicate water damage. Well, if I have understood that is the connection of headphones. I looked inside and I see a white band (assuming of course) and is all white (I had my helmet at the time). Since the indicator is supposed that have been fired, I'm not sure take it to Apple or Best Buy or if I should do something else. Suggestions?

If you purchased within 90 days, which takes place bought it (I guess Best Buy). Otherwise, if you're near an Apple Store, brought there.
