Can I install the new software for the iPod classic 80GB iPod classic 120GB in my?

Can I install the new software for iPod classic 120GB in my 80GB iPod classic? I love the Genius function on my iPod classic 80GB. I am sure that the material is essentially the same as the new 120GB model, and I guess the new software would probably work if Apple did not lock to install. Is there a way to trick iTunes into thinking you have a different model iPod to do really? How should we determine the model you made? If this is impossible, there is no other way to update the firmware other than iTunes?

Not You can use a different firmware and iTunes Genius is not the firmware of the iPod. Genius Updated iTunes can sync your iPod.
