Apple ipod

Ipod video is snoring and clicks.Can work.60gb disk mode, but thats about it. "Is he dead??

Hit OK in the morning added some songs and eject the iPod as it should. He came to use later and makes buzzing with noise. I tried restoring, maintaining on-off-button center menu icon ipod.Apple flashes and then turns off, as if fully capable of starting. Then shifted to the middle button and the disc playback mode pause.It now appear on my computer and when I right click it says to restore iTunes, which starts. But I had logged on for about an hour and will not show my iPod in iTunes to restore it. There are no guarantees about this and it would take to repair it (cost). I was thinking of buying a new and sell it but repair while sales of the evisceration. Has anyone else had this problem and what happened to fix, and about the amount of compensation??

You seem to have a fatal disk error. if you can put into disk mode in iTunes instead of trying to update or restore. using Disk Utility (Mac) or check the Disk (Windows) and then reformat the disk check for errors. then, when the formatted hard then try a RESTORE itunes. This is a warning that the disk is about to fail due to physical errors too (once dropped a few too) a direct appeal to an Apple offers a fixed price in my store of £ 75 + VAT for a replacement disk or £ 30 + VAT for a battery in the 5 and Gen 5.5 models.
