Does the Griffin iTrip Auto SmartScan (4045 TRPAUTOS) LOAD iPod nano 4th generation 16 GB.?

I bought an Apple 16 GB iPod nano player 4th generation as a gift a couple of days. I would also like to buy the Griffin iTrip Auto SmartScan FM Transmitter (Model No-TRPAUTOS :4045) to go with it. My question is that the FM transmitter, the unit is charged via the cigarette lighter? I know the Griffin website he says he'll play, but in many places that new newer iPods do not work with more accessories (ie, do not load but it took an FM signal). Looking for someone who uses these two products and what experience they had with functionality.Thanks help.

I have an iPod Touch 2G and I have an old FM transmitter that is not loaded. I think if you are buying in shop and said that it is charged. But if you buy used it probably will not load. It's horrible how Apple has changed the port, now not only able to use my solo SIRIUS spring.
