My iPod nano 3rd generation obtained in the wash. Now there is a large dark spot on the screen. Will you stay after it dries?

My iPod 3rd generation has recently been washed in the washer. My headphones were on him, not much water so they laid him. However, there is a large dark spot in the center of the screen. I searched the Apple forums and they told me to dry for a few weeks. Is the Great Dark Spot remains displayed even after to dry for a few weeks?
