You are allowed to use normal headphones on the iPod?

My iPod (Classic) Headphone gums begin to break down around the ear things take off. My iPod is almost new (only 3 months) and its shocking to see that happen with headphones. (I guess Apple does not live up to their quality standards to produce headphones) by the way I see the iPod headphones for sale and are very expensive compared to regular headphones. Therefore, approved for regular use / iPod headphoines NORMAL? Thanks Anakin

To register the new iPod in-ear headphones (which I assume we're talking about are) are more expensive because the quality is much better than what you get with the headphones that come with the iPod anyway. Only you know. To answer your question: If that's not a problem at all.
