My duplicate ipod is making me mad?

i got an ipod as a gift from my uncle’s friend and it had many problems like every song skips after 10 sec and itunes wont recognize it . when i called apple customer care (INDIA) they asked for my serial and they told that its a duplicate one

can any one tell me how to load songs and how to make songs play without skipping after every 10sec

thats a problem with the songs not the iPod. Re-download or burn them at a higher quality(bitrate) and then you should be good
