Apple ipod

IPod can not play!?

I have an iPod mini yesterday on Amazon, and it worked fine, but yesterday I shot this afternoon and there was no sound on the handset. The internal speaker for the work of click, but no headphones. Iv tried: changing the volume, different headphones, reset it, restoration, new version iTunes is loaded and fiddle with the headset. Iv done everything in the "resolve" in the manual and check iv Apple Web site. Anyone have any ideas before I return it? HELP!
