Computer Beeping?

For some reason every like about hour my computer beeps repeatedly. It’s not coming from the box thingy its actually coming out of the speakers. My computer works fine but I’m just annoyed of the noise. It only beeps if the computer is on. When I try to turn the noise off I just go to my volume mixer and it says its coming from Internet Explorer but its seperate from the other I E sound. Also how do you stop the voice that just pops saying “congratulations you have been selected to receive two free apple ipod nanos” it just scared the first time I heard and I had my volume all the way up! Why can’t it be two free iPhones.

Is your pop-up blocker on? Change it to not beep everytime it blocks a pop-up. Or turn it off. Go to Tools. Oh, that is just for the beeps. The other thing is clearly Spyware. Avast might help, but you need a really good professional cleaning of your system. The spyware may not be removable due to it might haveinfected system files. I’d back up my data and reformat if it is not a problem for you. Use system restore disks if you have them.
