I can not get the videos to go on my iPod Touch 2G?

Hello, I just got a new iPod Touch for Christmas. I never had an Apple product before. I d / worm on iTunes and installed without a problem. Music and books also syncs my team, and have a small library of video mp4 wrong with my touch .. Appears in iTunes but still watchable but not going in my touch?? What gives, as far as I know, I have it in the appropriate format and others have even tried using a pair of different converters in case, but not always. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
