My ipod nano froze! Apple logo will not go away.?

I have a 2GB iPod Nano and left the battery. But when I tried to load I connected the Apple logo appeared and stopped there, not go to the main menu or anything. After a while it just yet. I tried to fix by pressing central and the menu button at the same time, but does nothing. = (Someone please help.
