Apple iPod nano Third Generation Silver (4 GB, Ma978ll / a) Digital Media Player Features and Information
Apple has an uncanny ability keep making great products. Every time I think it is impossible to make improvements to their iPods, there comes a another reorganization that raises the design bar, over and over and convenience of the last series, he excels at it again, especially with the new nano. Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last week, you will know more or less it seems. To accommodate the larger screen, is shorter and wider than the previous nano – 52 x 70 x 6.5 mm (W) to be precise.
IPod Nano recently renovated, is very different from its ancestor first rev is much more resistant to scratches. The anodized (which means "Covered with an oxide layer) body aluminum is difficult – like the iPod mini – and does not appear as hairline scratches from plastic / resin and metal as a mirror of the original nano. Of course, all metals can be removed if enough force is applied or if the scratching object is very clear, but in terms of "normal use", the new nano is much, much harder than its predecessor. It also looks like the screen on the new Nano is made of a different, more durable material. Well done, Apple!
Apple also revised user interface of the Nano. The most significant improvement is the addition of features split-screen menu, which lists the menu items left along with a preview of the menu selection on the right side of the screen. (If you select 'Music' at the top level menu, for example, floating turning album covers of your music collection will appear in the menu list.) is a nice touch that makes good use of white space to the right of the menu text and takes advantage of widescreen Nano. Apple has also added Cover Flow, the ability to "flip" your library by album artwork. During Cover Flow browsing is a bit slow, is good to have an option, even if the function is more fun to use on a device with a touchscreen interface like the iPhone or iPod Touch.
On the front of the user interface Apple has added a plethora of new features that seem incredible, thanks to the screen beautifully bright. A feature is the added video capability. You can play H.264 or MPEG4 or MOV, MP4 or M4V formats. Although we do not expect impressed by their quality, we've been surprised again. The video quality is amazing, and if the video device you have is the iPod Nano, you might be able to survive on film Full scale for viewing on a screen of 2 inches. Well, not too excited and think of dedicated players to replace the video or portable phones, instead of the Nano. It's great, but this is not a replacement for a dedicated video device. If nothing else, and then think the eyes and headaches, is obtained after hours of squinting eyes on a small screen. In addition, the device is smart enough to skip unnecessary DVD chapters with video output immediately, and also reminiscent of the film begin at the point where it stopped last time. How nice
