iTunes does not detect my iPod shuffle?

I accidentally formatted my ipod shuffle (first generation) ..? I accidentally formatted my ipod shit shuffle (first generation), since it can not be read by the restore utility that says "Failed to get the information from your iPod." Now itunes does not detect more! I stupidly used the format my computer (right click and select the format of the iPod). I am using Windows XP. thinking that would solve the problem was even worse. Please help me. I paid a good price for it and now does not work .. My idea is that "erased", that is information systems (Serial Number. Details, etc.) So nothing can be detected. I think it's like an empty plastic now .. I even checked the H: drive (the drive letter of my iPod with "show hidden files" enabled and could not even see the file theiPod_Control more. Please, like any way to solve this problem without having to go to Apple because I have no time or money .. .. Thanks in advance
