Macbook Pro Update 2010?

I am enrolling in college in the fall of 2010 next year and the current school plan medicine later. I can get a MacBook Pro right now with all the optional upgrade for the premium of MBP, but I heard that Apple can upgrade to a Intels new mobile version of i7 and let me know if I should expect as much as possible up-level occur, then buy the CCM. As new books are offered for sale education that happened last year with a free iPod touch. And be good to buy applications to help college as being time management and study aids and notes held.
