How could companies Apple Lossless songs have 32 GB iPod Touch?

I was going to have one soon, and I wanted to know. Nyla @: I know the songs are all different lengths, I was asking for songs of average size. The average size of the "Apple Lossless" format has a limit in Specifically, I'm not sure what it is. If I knew I could understand.

If each file is in FLAC lossless format (which has a file size average of 30-50 MB) Then, between 600-900 songs. However, I do not know anyone whose library consists of 100% of FLAC tracks.
