iTouch jailbreak my power Have a question?

My friend came to school today with a jailbroken iPod touch, and it was very good. I'm considering jailbreaking mine now, but some questions. 1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of jailbreaking an iPod touch? 2. My friend told me that I had to erase all data on their flight iTouch from jail for it. Is this true? If so, is there any way to save and restore your turn all the information on my iTouch now I have, after it is jailbroken? 3. If I can get my itouch after jailbreaking it, will my warranty is still valid? Apple may say that I already jailbroke? Any information is useful. Thank you very much! Blake
