Ipod warranty?

I bought a 80GB iPod at Costco and their policy to ensure the return of only 90 days. Is there a guarantee manufacturing in their own iPod? Or should I return my iPod to Costco and get in the Apple store? Or do you buy the separate warranty?

Apple offers a free 90-day, one support incident from the date of purchase. So if there is nothing wrong with your iPod in 90 days, you can go to Costco or call toll support. After you have to go through the manufacturuer (Apple) if within one year from the date of purchase. They go to the repair or replacement (and in some cases payment), depending on the problem. You can expand the service and support coverage for an additional year at an additional cost of purchasing the AppleCare Protection Plan.
