I can not load the iTunes software configuration on Linux? Can anyone help?

I Linux and I bought a new iPod shuffle this week. I downloaded from iTunes at apple.com. But I can not load on my system. Can you help me?

iTunes will not work in Linux. I think you can use Rhythmbox in instead of iTunes. You forgot to mention that the Linux distribution you use. Ubuntu? Then find the Synaptic package manager for the iPod and iTunes related things.
