Iphone 4g Rumors Sprint
2010
Is there anyway to get an Iphone onto Verizon wireless?
My family has Verizon wireless and I think that Verizon is the best. We’ve tried Sprint, T Mobile and AT+T, but they arent good. i get bad reception from where i live i guess. however, i am going to get an upgrade on my old phone in a couple weeks and i was looking at the iphone…..here are some questions i have:
1. when will the iphone work for verizon? i heard a rumor about sometime in june…
2. can i just buy an iphone and hook it up to verizon? will it work the same?
3. how does the iphone work on internet?
4. what is your personal opinion on the iphone?
5. how much will the 4g iphone be?
i was thinking of getting the envy touch for my upgrade, but the iphone seems coool
1) I am not sure when Verizon will receive the iPhone. They may be still in contract with AT&T
2) No you cannot just buy an iPhone and hook it up to Verizon. The iPhone runs on the GSM bands which means it requires a valid SIM chip. Because Verizon is a CDMA network band they do not require SIM chips so they cannot work with the iPhone. You would either need to sign up for AT&T and get the iPhone or go onto T-Mobile and buy an “unlocked” iPhone from ebay and stick the SIM into the iPhone. But, unfortunately Verizon customers cannot put their service onto the iPhone.
3) The iPhone uses wi-fi as well as AT&T’s cellular data network. So, you can use you iPhone virtually anywhere in the US where you get normal cell signal. The iPhone HAS to have a data plan which costs an extra $30 a month in addition to your cell phone bill.
4) I have the iPhone (First Generation) and I think it is one of the most advanced devices on the market today. The iPhone is superior to all other cell phones with its amazing responsive multi-touch screen, accelerometer, GPS, wi-fi, digital compass, 3G, and great battery life. Once you go iPhone you don’t go back. Once you use the iPhone, you will see have advanced it truly is. Give it a try one day and go to an Apple store and play around with it for at least an hour testing all of its features.
5) The iPhone “4G” will probably be $200 for a 16GB version, but may start at $300 for a 32GB version or they may even have the 32GB be standard for $200 and a 64GB version for $300. We don’t really know. We do know that it shouldn’t be above $300 or below $100.
Good luck! and go give it a try at an Apple store!
