When should I wait for a new generation of Apple's iPhone in 2010?

I lost my iphone in December. I further six months to two years of my contract. Although I can update my phone to a new iPhone with another 2 year contract, I heard the new iPhone generation (4G), soon faced this summer, and perhaps Verizon services. I'm really in trouble now, but will not pay cancellation fees or to buy the best old iphone. What is the best yet now? I think the use of iPhones continued payment until the arrival of new iPhones. When I can wait for a new generation iPhone? In June, perhaps?

The next iPhone will not be a 4G. Is expected in June or July. Verizon is unlikely to get an iPhone near future. It would be cheaper to cancel and pay the early termination fee and the use of an inexpensive prepaid continue to pay on your iPhone plan.
