Bose vs. Logitech iPod?

Here's the problem. 3 years ago I bought a new iPod Bose SoundDock for $ 300. Some broken and now I have to spend $ 100 to fix it. The Bose store is sent free of charge and repair. It depends if you are satisfied with the sound of Logitech speakers. It's hard to beat the Bose speakers. Did you try to take him to a local electronics store for repair?
