How do I download iPhone apps with the App store?

I downloaded Spore: Origins on iTunes, but how do I get it on my iPhone? I tried syncing but that doesnt work.

When you plug your iPhone into your computer and select it in the left-hand side of iTunes, you should see your iPhone summary.
At the top where the tabs are (Summary, Info, Ringtones, Etc.) select the Applications tab. Check and make sure the box that says “Sync Applications” is checked. If not, your applications won’t update to your phone. If the “Sync Applications” box is checked, but so is “Selected Applications”, make sure that the app you want is is one of the selected apps. Once you’ve got the apps selected, just click the “Sync” button in the bottom right-hand corner and your iPhone should update.
