ICall sype Information and plz? It is totally free from the United Kingdom to the United States?

I live in the UK and I recently bought right Apple iPhone on O2 network. My girlfriend lives United States and the two iphones because I said we could talk about iCall Free use. I downloaded Skype for free and iCall. Not sure now how any of these works and the way and I can speak of free international use. He also downloaded iCall and Skype. When I started to create my iCall so, he QNS got asked a few as you want in on that free calls to USA and Canada, and several others. I am totally confused. Does anyone have information in these two applications, and if they are really free and how? Thanks!
