It should work. The ShowTime has an output of 3 RCA connections (video, audio left, right). To connect to a power amplifier, Simply connect the audio (red and white) to the amplifier. The iPod does not know or care that nothing is to receive the video signal. Most amplifiers have RCA line level. If you have a stereo mini jack or phono taken place, the entry level is the same, only I need an adapter at Radio Shack.
