The iPod touch will not turn after the restoration?

A few days after syncing my iPod, started spazzing. HOLD does not work properly and keep it in and out at random and the power goes off the screen every few seconds. Apple store lady said to try to restore it, I did an hour ago without using the backup option. so hit me do not use backup. Now my iPod will not turn on after 15 minutes stay connected. Me again to connect to my laptop and itunes gives me a message "iTunes could not connect to iphone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065)" I think my last option is to take the Apple store and they have repaired. My warranty ran a year ago. How can this be fixed? This is a second generation iPod touch. Thank you.
