IPhone Unlocked for T-Mobile data plan?

I can get an unlocked iPhone to work with my TMobile sim, and my plan is currently posts unlimited text and unlimited. will the website and everything works on the iPhone when I'm not connected to Wi-Fi like lights? Or will I have to get the Blackberry plan or something ..
