What programs do game development?

I am a career in game development. I have extensive knowledge of C + +. I do not know what programs used to develop games, however. I wanted to use Adobe Flash to develop Flash games in my hands as I do in games, but can not afford Flash. I have a book on the development of games for iPhone, but I'm not a Mac so I can not download the application developers of applications for iPhone. What other programs / IDE do I use to develop games? I know that Eclipse is used by the team SWGEmu.com of (an emulator of the pre-review of 18 years? Star Wars Galaxies), but also I know that is based on Java, it would be good?
