Ipod Nano, a pleasant journey

Apple's new nano is designed to improve the previous models and adds some features. The improved video, smaller thinner body and updated firmware are enough to make it out.

The Wait

First of aesthetics. Some older people prefer agency Gen2 nano with click wheel larger. Apple reduced the body to minimize disruptions due to the older generation bending in the pockets and purses.

The longer nano was prone to bend (and sometimes break) when people put in their pocket and sat displaced.

Other changes motivated by durability is the metal face. The old clear composite face was a magnet for smudges and scratches.

The new face of metal holds better. Be careful, do not splinter and a little more than zero, to obtain coverage. Apple loses points for the click wheel feel uncomfortable. It is a compromise.

Sound

The sound quality is not significantly better than previous models. The slight improvements touted in Apple's marketing are exaggerated.

However, let's be fair to Apple here. They are not alone when it comes to MP3 players, high-cost with only moderate fidelity sound.

Almost no players MP3 players are actually designed for audiophiles / musicians and sound engineers, ie people who can make the difference between a good sound and great sound.

Also note that the MP3 is a compression technology that is experienced loss of quality. In particular, a lower rate of your MP3 files lose more and over the integrity of the original recording.

Combine this with the fact that many people do not rip CDs are digitally mastered, and you get a lower quality sound from any device.

Features

In addition to changes in body design, not many new features are noteworthy with this device.

Apple software is still a weakness with very limited direct control over your device library and few file options. However, most users have limited needs and do not realize. Apple reaches the minimum compatibility needs of most markets.

Coverflow is little more than a trick. It is still buggy and covers usually blank if it moves quickly.

coverage has been downloaded with previous software versions and other players, so the ability to scroll covers is not really a breakthrough.

Note that the iPod still has fewer features than most competitive devices. No radio tuner, voice recorder, Bluetooth, support for WMA, etc, but this does it well.

In general, this device is an improvement. Apple really wins a style and a lot of accessories.

This unit is no different. While not perfect, none of competition is good enough to master it soon.
