When the iPhone contract with AT & T end?

Well first. Please do not tell "does not work. IPhone is only for AT & T, because then you must be living under a rock for the past years. I know it ends in 2010, but did you know the exact month, or at least the season? and is coming to Sprint or Verizon do? because I really want an iPhone 3G for Christmas, but my father said he does not use AT & T. Sprint used so expect to come to Sprint, or just go to Verizon. Thanks!
