I am a begginner I have to start from scratch how to drain my iphone?

Ive tried to jailbreak my iphone for some time but I can not seem to do. I gave up all hope and now I upgraded to 1.1.3. Instant messaging with Windows XP if I'm a Mac I do not know what Im a download and begginner. I know there a lot of forums and YouTube videos, but I have always tried and DONT work for me. Ive not done it anyway. Please help me. I would be very happy when I know I can still educating people.
