Iphone Gps Apps Free

iPhone cancelled, but WiFi still works : Am I getting charged for this?
I cancelled my iPhone Rogers account about a month ago, and WiFi, GPS, App Store still works!
If I use the internet or download free apps on to the iPhone, will it cost money?
Also, will Rogers call someday and want the phone back?
Thanks,
Rowan
No; your wifi comes from a wifi access point, and not from your carrier. It may be your own access point, a neighbor’s unsecured wifi network, or a place like a coffee shop or airport. As long as you can access the internet this way, rather than through Rogers or another carrier’s cell phone signal (completely different radio in that phone), then anything you download is completely free.
If you get AWAY from a wifi access point, then you won’t be able to access the internet, just as you wouldn’t be able to access it from a laptop computer if you’re not within range of a wireless network.
GPS is an inherent function of the phone; it is “talking” to various satellites in orbit around the earth to determine your position.
As to Rogers wanting the phone back, it’s not likely, but check your contract or call Rogers’ customer care. As long as you fulfilled the terms of your contract, the phone is yours if that’s how you got it in the first place.
