Help with Panasonic home theater connection kit Xbox 360 and PS3?

I brought a new Panasonic Home Theater Kit, SC-PT480 model if that helps. After four hours to rearrange my cables and hide the speaker wires under the carpet and run it on the wall. System is in contact with my HDTV Samsung via an HDMI cable now passed both my TV and stage equipment, sound does not play the new speakers, even while watching normal TV and when you turn the Xbox into a channel change to HDMI 2 and try to see if the speakers work with her change the channel back to the Panasonic screen in HDMI 1. Really confused about what the problem is and how to fix it. System also plays MP3 music through my iPhone or through an auxiliary socket on the back very well. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
