Im using Illustrator and / or GIMP to create iPhone icons.?

When I save the image format. PNG file will not work ever. How I can save the image correctly for this to work? I tried to keep it in Illustrator, then save in the GIMP, but does not work. Please help

If you has decided to use them as icons on your computer, then you need to save them. "Ico" files. You can do this by simply changing the file extension the GIMP "Save File" dialog.
