Iphone India Airtel Price
2010

Should I buy the iPhone 3G?
Well, my friends, I live in India. Tomorrow, the iPhone 3G will be launched here by Bharti Airtel. Model 8 GB I want to buy here will cost Rs. 31 000 or $ 784 is about 4 times the price in the United States. I probably love the iPhone, but now, after announced today the award of Airtel, seems out of reach for me. Airtel is really sick for a price four times more expensive. Now what do I do? What really worth the enormous sum of money?
Contrary to what he says, the iPhone is compatible with Bluetooth (see http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html full details). calculate the price is quite far from the truth: we have to look at cost of owning an iPhone over two years (the duration of a contract from the U.S.). You find that after taking into account the monthly fees, costs and the U.S. India are approximately the same (about $ 2000 or 80 000 rupees, about Rs. 10 000 depending on model and fetch his actual monthly bill). The difference between India and the United States than in the U.S. paid a little earlier, and much each month – in India in reverse. That said – iPhone 3G now suffers from many problems reported, probably has to do with an inadequate test procedure (computer time synchronization for time and poor reception most notably). Furthermore, despite its name – there is no 3G in India, you will use Edge sucks terribly, unless at some place near a WiFi connection. Location iPhone will probably also be very poor – iPhone GPS location is notoriously unstable and WiFi does not work in India. Personally, I would wait until at least December. Meanwhile, some of these problems can be solved by firmware upgrades and others have mentioned – after initial enthusiasm, the price could produce something more reasonable (Rs 20,000 for 8GB and MRS. 25,000 for the 16GB would have been a little more in my opinion).
