HELP! My iphone unlocked 8GB 2G is stuck in the login screen in iTunes.?

I bought my iphone on ebay for the first day worked very well. The next day I was surfing on the internet about it and then pressed the sleep button. A few hours later, he tried restart, but nothing happened. I plugged it into itunes and asked me to update the iPhone and update the new version of iTunes (which I did both). So now screen stuck on connecting to iTunes and I can only receive calls and texts and emergency calls. I tried to restore via iTunes and jailbreak by snowbreeze. Sent a few people about the situation with my iPhone and people are telling me is that I have to activate and jailbreak or jailbreak, then unlock the phone. Ok, so if you mean to connect to iTunes screen, as if the If you first turn on your iPhone or iPod touch, you can try to hold down home and sleep button for about nine seconds and when the release button turn the display home, but hold the button's sleep or perhaps another 2-3 per sec.
