Iphone International Use Wifi
2009

"I can use free wifi on my iPhone when I'm in another country?
I'm in Canada (USA) in a few days and you want to make my iPhone. I have the intention to disable data roaming and I will not claim at the same time there. I want to make sure you do not pay huge fees. But I want to use my iPhone for Web browsing and maps during their stay. I can use the local "Wi-Fi (as provided by my Canadian hotel) without any data charges? I'm not using the AT & T when I do that, I think it should cost me nothing. Nobody knows for sure? This page gives "tips" about it, but it is not entirely clear: http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/international/roaming/iphone-travel-tips.jsp be clear: this is not a technical issue, is a question of cost. I know that I have any problem connecting to a WiFi (802.11) in any place, the question is: will this run-up to my bill from AT & T?
If this is the same protocol (802.11b / G), then you should have no problem.
How to Turn almost any Phone into much Cheaper Wi-Fi Phone ?
