Apple iPhone release a more modern?

Does anyone know if there will be a new model of the iPhone 3G? Since Apple seems unveiled a new model every year. I am for an update, but my contract does not end until April 2010. Is it worth waiting until April, or just buy now?

The iPhone is the next in June 2010. It should be worth waiting for Apple to have to face the challenges posed by phones like the droid and the Google phone will be released shortly.
