Apple Ios 4 .. Questions?

I see the introduction to Apple's iPhone 4 .. and showed feautures as multi-tasking and new wallpapers update. They also said that you can upgrade for free for a second-generation iPod Touch 3rd generation and iPod touch. Im gonna get an ipod touch 8GB second generation soon and was wondering if multitasking wallpapers work

Multitasking only works in the 3rd Generation iPod touch bought in winter 09. other features will work, however.
