new phone, iPhone or Hiptop?

My wireless plan in the works next month, and I am looking new phone. Was thinking about the iPhone, but I saw some excerpts from the iPhone 4G, and is much, much better than the iPhone 3G. It's a shame, because I doubt that Relased until mid-2010. Instead, I think the Sidekick (Hiptop) and the new should be released in Australia soon. Therefore, should I get a Hiptop, iPhone 3G, or wait a year or two and get the iPhone 4G. Indeed, Existing my iPod touch 1st generation, but anyone is interested in buying.
