Target Mobile and Wind: The appearance of these wireless players
Just a year ago, a friend of mine talked about how I prefer he called the night so it will not be charged for calls. Evenings and weekends free "concept was around for a while but recently has begun to decline. A few years ago, Canadian companies offer many bells and whistles phones to attract customers to its side of the lagoon. But this has begun to fade. I remember one time Fido Fido Fido that he was free to call, nights and weekends unlimited, and unlimited incoming call. Best of all, you can get these features in Almost all plans without paying extra. Since then Rogers took over Fido and many of these wonderful things started fading.
Until recently, industry of cellular telephony has been a big oligopoly. Three major players Rogers, Telus and Bell have been the establishment and the height of its prices to take advantage of customers. Even tried to hide the possibility of transferring wireless number portability act for the most part, an Act of Law that allows cellular customers to take their number cell phone with them if they decide to transfer to another department. In addition, customers who locked in a deal – a factor that explains why the cell phone market Canada is very competitive in most of standby time.
Now there are new players to change the game they are playing a new game, though – the game without limits. In December 2006 WIND Mobile, a new start cellular launched in Toronto. Wind Mobile is a subsidiary of Globalive Communications. His goal was to develop plans that have been built around customer needs. They offer a wide range of plans and not pay for extras, unlike other cellular companies. They even offer some plans Unlimited, an idea that is considered a no-no among the big-three. Their advertising campaigns the client function, therefore, presents him as a defender consumers. Their website is designed more as a topic of conversation and less like a business eye pain. In the four months since launch, have already attracted more than 35,000 subscribers.
Another round player is to monitor public mobile. Its release date is scheduled for May, but they have opened a total of 25 stores operating in the cities, Toronto and Montreal. They plan to launch a simple cell phone plan – one that they say appeal to a broad range of customers. The proposal is simple – and talk unlimited text for $ 40 per month. Although many texters attract your parrots, I still think they are missing a huge market. Are losing normal – the category of people who spend most of their waking hours on the phone. These people do not spend more than $ 25 – $ 35 per month on a phone plan cell. However, public mobile could attract mobile phone users who end up spending more than $ 60 due to overexploitation.
WIND Both mobile and attract much public attention in the coming months. WIND Mobile, however, fans will have much more because of their early into the market and limit their selection of modern mobile devices. From now on, I'll make the prediction that Rogers, Telus and Bell cut prices or offer more tips to keep your existing customers. As in the future, which also predict that the two, the wind and mobile service Mobile will be increasing its prices for meet the high-three years, but only after having attracted a sufficient number of customers. Yes, this does not mean it can only be so arrogant as the big three in the near future. For Now, if you pay too much for your cell phone bill, try something new for a change. Go with the oppressed and show current cell phone company that wears the pants in their relationship in motion.
