What are good sources of getting the basic computer coding?

I'm in high school. I want to enter into the software coding as a career. I have no idea where to start. I took web design courses for the following year, I hope that help a little. Are there any good books, web web, videos, etc. that taught basic programming languages. In the Apple-oriented preferences. My dream is to actually design games for the iPhone and things like that. Thanks I'm not exactly interested in HTML. I take because it is the only code on my offer classes related to the school. I'm more interested in things like C base and C + + or whatever you must use the Apple SDK.

www.w3schools.com is the best place to start for web development. Lot of good resources to start.
