You do not need a converter. It's really very simple. Create free ringtones at iTunes 1) Open iTunes and locate the songs "without protection" you want as a ringtone to your iTunes library 2) Right click on the song and select "Get" 3 Info) Click the Settings tab and adjust Time and Stop Time 'you want. Click OK 4) Now right-click and select the song from iTunes AAC Version 'will create a new song with the same name 5) Right click on "the new song and select" click View in Windows Explorer "6) Right on track New Windows and click Rename and then change the m4a extension to m4r and press "Enter." warning box appears just click "Yes." 7) Slide m4r file used by Windows iTunes "Ringtones". You can click the iTunes icon first ring, then drag it to the library or simply for the right tone for the icon on the left. VOILA! You have a new ringtone! 8) Now that you have to clean alittle. Click on the "Library in 'Music' (left side) and then a song by 30 seconds. For your information, this is not the tone. Next Click the original song "Get Info", click the Options tab, uncheck the "Start Time" and "stop time" and click click click OK. DONE SU Helpful Hints: * I know that sounds like a lot of work, but once a couple of times it takes less than 30 seconds to create a ringtone. The hardest part is finding where 30-35 sec clip you want. ** For what is not protected, I have no idea really. It lol He read it and got here, but it was able to create a tone of any song I wanted, new or old transfer iTunes songs. *** Step 6, if you try to change m4a to m4r and not let you change file extension, you must "uncheck" Hide extensions for known. Just go to Control Panel => Folder Options => More> uncheck "Hide extensions = Tab for known file types' => click" Apply "=> OK then you'll be able to change m4a m4r files **** If I were in stage 4 after creating the AAC version, I double-click it to preview what will look like. Sometimes I think I have the right for 30-35 seconds, then hear it and decide to change it. ***** Step 3 is also a good time to adjust the volume to look alittle too distort
