Mac OS X – Installation of software (NEWBISH do)?
Ok, so in my Mac laptop, Intel, Leopard, I downloaded IPhone SDK and am trying to install and I have enough space on my hard drive, but I have a 320GB external hard drive, but says it can not be installed on Mac OS X drive, is there anyway to force it to install on the outside or a means of saving and application packages outside the mainstream and say all the preferences and others may remain in the disc hard. I can not clear the space, this is not an option if there are preferences that you can still go to 3 GB free, because I have only 2.8 for free. Please help I need to start to learn, because summer is short in terms of learning Objective-C and the iPhone SDK API also want to apply and helps me if I get an application for the sale that give the rights of the beta-tester and I think that includes a copy of the final version. Thx, rain Wind Sn0w
I will not trust newbish not oversimplify the response. First, you are a level dangerously low on disk space. Mac OS X requires at least 10 GB free hard disk space as virtual memory, saving the memory contents before entering deep sleep and overall performance. Now for your question. Since the cancellation is not an option and you have an external hard drive that can play your system disk to external hard drive with Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper! or even Disk Utility. Just boot from the installation CD or another volume, and the use of a software previous clone. You can then boot from that disk when you want and SDK active boot volume. Or instead of cloning, install a new copy of Mac OS X and even out-of beginning to install the SDK.
