Why is my iPhone SIM card with a mash up?

I insert my iPhone (which I've had since December) and disappeared into iTunes, and said: "The SIM card is not compatible and I say it is a tip of my office and transported to the essentials for a new SIM card. I had this since December last year, and I have not had any problems like that! Does anyone know what to do? Thanks in advance: D
