What is iPhone update 4 does the iPod touch 2G?

I heard that the new iPhone software messes 4 IPod Touch. I want to know what update is different, how it changes, that change the life of the battery, do not erase all my data when I get the update, and you have the same characteristics iPhone 4 points back to your iPod touch? I really need help with this, because I do not want to lose all my data. Or other problems or concerns. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do not update your iPod, I tried today and TOTALLY messed up my ipod I can not even work harder and when I connect to computer, I can not computer recognize even more: (I really wish I wouldnt have been updated with this shit, do not make the same mistake I did.
